Consumer Price Index Numbers On Base 2012=100 For Rural, Urban And Combined For The Month Of July 2023

The National Statistical Office (NSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is releasing All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) on Base 2012=100 and corresponding Consumer Food Price Index (CFPI) for Rural (R), Urban (U) and Combined (C) for the month of July 2023 (Provisional) in this press note. CPIs for Sub-Groups and Groups for both All India and all States/UTs are also being released.

The price data are collected from selected 1114 urban Markets and 1181 villages covering all States/UTs through personal visits by field staff of Field Operations Division of NSO, MoSPI on a weekly roster. During the month of July 2023, NSO collected prices from 99.5% villages and 98.5% urban markets while the market-wise prices reported therein were 88.6% for rural and 92.2% for urban.
All India Inflation rates (on point to point basis i.e. current month over same month of last year, i.e. July 2023 over July 2022), based on General Indices and CFPIs are given as follows:

CONSUMER PRICE INDEX NUMBERS ON BASE 2012=100 FOR RURAL, URBAN AND COMBINED FOR THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER 2021

The National Statistical Office (NSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is releasing All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) on Base 2012=100 and corresponding Consumer Food Price Index (CFPI) for Rural (R), Urban (U) and Combined (C) for the month of September 2021 (Provisional) in this press note. CPIs for Sub-Groups and Groups for both All India and all States/UTs are also being released.

Consumer Price Index Numbers on Base

2. The Price data are collected from selected 1114 urban Markets and 1181 villages covering all States/UTs through personal visits by field staff of Field Operations Division of NSO, MoSPI on a weekly roster. During the month of September 2021, NSO collected prices from 99.6% villages and 98.5% urban Markets while the Market-wise prices reported therein were 87.6% for rural and 92.0% for urban.

3. All India Inflation rates (on point to point basis i.e. current month over same month of last year, i.e. September 2021over September 2020),based on General Indices and CFPIs are given as follows:

Consumer Price Index Numbers on base 2012=100 for Rural, Urban and Combined for the Month of August 2021

The National Statistical Office (NSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is releasing All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) on Base 2012=100 and corresponding Consumer Food Price Index (CFPI) for Rural (R), Urban (U) and Combined (C) for the month of August 2021 (Provisional) in this press note. CPIs for Sub-Groups and Groups for both All India and all States/UTs are also being released.

2. The Price data are collected from representative and selected 1114 urban Markets and 1181 villages covering all States/UTs through personal visits by field staff of Field Operations Division of NSO, MoSPI on a weekly roster. During the month of August 2021, NSO collected prices from 99.7% villages and 98.6% urban Markets while the Market-wise prices reported therein were 87.1% for rural and 87.4% for urban.

Consumer Price Index numbers on base 2012=100 for Rural, Urban and Combined for the Month of May 2021

The National Statistical Office (NSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is releasing All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) on Base 2012=100 and corresponding Consumer Food Price Index (CFPI) for Rural (R), Urban (U) and Combined (C) for the month of May 2021 (Provisional) in this press note. CPIs for Sub-Groups and Groups for both All India and all States/UTs are also being released.

Consumer Price Index month of may 2021

2.  The Price data are collected from representative and selected 1114 urban Markets and 1181 villages covering all States/UTs through personal visits by field staff of Field Operations Division of NSO, MoSPI on a weekly roster. During the month of May 2021, NSO collected prices from 99.7% villages and 97.7% urbanMarkets while the Market-wise prices reported therein were 68.1% for rural and 67.5% for urban.

3. All India Inflation rates (on point to point basis i.e. current month over same month of last year, i.e. May 2021over May 2020),based on General Indices and CFPIs are given as follows:

Consumer Price Index Numbers on Base 2012=100 for Rural, Urban and Combined for the Month of March 2021

The National Statistical Office (NSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is releasing All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) on Base 2012=100 and corresponding Consumer Food Price Index (CFPI) for Rural (R), Urban (U) and Combined (C) for the month of March 2021 (Provisional) in this press note. CPIs for Sub-Groups and Groups for both All India and all States/UTs are also being released.

The Price data are collected from representative and selected 1114 urban markets and 1181 villages covering all States/UTs through personal visits by field staff of Field Operations Division of NSO, MoSPI on a weekly roster. During the month of March 2021, NSO collected prices from 99.6% villages and 98.5% urban markets while the market-wise prices reported therein were 89.1% for rural and 93.6% for urban.

Consumer Price Index Numbers on base 2012=100 for Rural, Urban and combined for the Month of November 2020

The National Statistical Office (NSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is releasing All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) on Base 2012=100 and corresponding Consumer Food Price Index (CFPI) for Rural (R), Urban (U) and Combined (C) for the month of November 2020 (Provisional) in this press note. CPIs for Sub-Groups and Groups for both All India and all States/UTs are also being released.

Consumer Price Index

2.  The Price data are collected from representative and selected 1114 urban markets and 1181 villages covering all States/UTs through personal visits by field staff of Field Operations Division of NSO, MoSPI on a weekly roster. During the month of November 2020, NSO collected prices from 98.8% villages and 98.6% urban markets while the market-wise prices reported therein were 87.0% for rural and 91.1% for urban.

Consumer Price Index Numbers on Base 2012=100 for Rural, Urban and Combined for the Month of September 2020

The National Statistical Office (NSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) is releasing All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) on Base 2012=100 and corresponding Consumer Food Price Index (CFPI) for Rural (R), Urban (U) and Combined (C) for the month of September 2020 (Provisional) in this press note. CPIs for Sub-Groups and Groups for both All India and all States/UTs are also being released.

Consumer Price Index

2. The Price data are collected from representative and selected 1114 urban markets and 1181 villages covering all States/UTs through personal visits by field staff of Field Operations Division of NSO, MoSPI on a weekly roster. During the month of September, 2020, NSO collected prices from 98.0% villages and 97.8% urban markets while the prices reported therein were 83.0% for rural and 87.9% for urban.

3.  All India Inflation rates (on point to point basis i.e. current month over same month of last year i.e. September 2020 over September 2019), based on General Indices and CFPIs are given as follows:

The inflation rates of important categories of items are given in Annexure II. State/UT wise provisional General CPI numbers for Rural, Urban and Combined are given in Annexure III. Inflation rates of major States, having population more than 50 lakhs as per population Census 2011, are given in Annexure IV. State/UT–wise Group CPIs are available on the Ministry’s website (www.mospi.gov.in).
4. Price data are collected from selected towns and selected villages by the Field Operations Division of NSO, MoSPI. Price data are received through web portals, maintained by the National Informatics Centre.

Consumer Price Index Numbers on Base 2012=100 for Rural, Urban and Combined for the Month of March 2019 
The Central Statistics Office (CSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation has revised the Base Year of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 2010=100 to 2012=100 with effect from the release of indices for the month of January 2015.

 2. In this press note, the CPI (Rural, Urban, Combined) on Base 2012=100 is being released for the month of March 2019. In addition to this, Consumer Food Price Index (CFPI) for all India Rural, Urban and Combined are also being released for March 2019. All India Inflation rates (on point to point basis i.e. current month over same month of last year, i.e., March2019 over March 2018), based on General Indices and CFPIs are given as follows:
