Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (2016=100) – November, 2020  Ministry of Labour & Employment Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (2016=100) – November, 2020 Posted On: 31 DEC 2020 5:51PM by PIB Delhi The All-India CPI-IW for November, 2020 increased by 0.4 points and stood at 119.9 (one hundred nineteen and point nine). On 1-month percentage change, it increased by (+) 0.33 per cent between October and November, 2020 compared to (+) 0.92 per cent increase between corresponding months of previous year. The maximum upward pressure in current index came from Food & Beverages group contributing (+) 0.25 percentage points to the total change. At item level, Rice, Arhar Dal, Fish Fresh, Milk, Mustard Oil, Soyabean Oil, Sunflower Oil, Onion, Potato, Chillies Dry, Tea Leaf, Cooked Meal, etc. are responsible for the increase in index.  Deadline for filing Income Tax Return extended from Dec 31 to January 10, 2021 : ITR Press Information Bureau Government of India Ministry of Finance Date: 30 DEC 2020 Extension of time limits for income tax returns In view of the challenges faced by taxpayers in meeting the statutory and regulatory compliances due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the Government brought the Taxation and Other Laws (Relaxation of Certain Provisions) Ordinance, 2020 (‘the Ordinance’) on 31st March, 2020 which, inter alia, extended various time limits. The Ordinance has since been replaced by the Taxation and Other Laws (Relaxation and Amendment of Certain Provisions) Act. The Government issued a Notification on 24th June, 2020 under the Ordinance which, inter alia, extended the due date for all Income Tax Returns for the FY 2019-20 (AY 2020-21) to 30th November, 2020. While KVIC worked tirelessly for creating sustainable employment across the country, it disbursed Rs 29.65 crore to Khadi Institutions in the hilly terrains of J&K alone, which has been the focus area of the Central Government. This amount has been disbursed from May 2020 to September 2020 to 84 Khadi institutions in J&K benefitting 10,800 Khadi artisans associated with these institutions. Under the new housing scheme, the DDA will allot luxury flats and penthouses in Delhi in 14-storey buildings, with terrace gardens and best-in-class finishing.
