Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) the details of the houses built so far under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) in Hingoli region of Maharashtra State, year-wise;
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) in Hingoli
(b) the details of the families yet to be allotted Barahmasi housing unit under the said yojana in the said region; and

(c) the total number of sanctioned houses in Maharashtra during the last three years, district-wise?

(SHRI KAUSHAL KISHORE)
(a) & (b) Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), under the vision of ‘Housing for All’, is supplementing the efforts of States/ UTs by providing central assistance under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Urban (PMAY-U) for construction of houses for all eligible urban families/ beneficiaries since 25.06.2015.There are no fixed targets under PMAY- U Scheme. Based on the demand, State Government prepares project proposals and after approval of projects by State Level Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (SLSMC) submits to the Ministry for sanctioning by Central Monitoring and Sanctioning Committee (CSMC).
The year-wise details of the houses sanctioned, grounded for construction and completed, so far, under PMAY-U in the Hingoli district of the State of Maharashtra is annexed as Annexure-I.
(c) The details of houses sanctioned, district wise, in the State of Maharashtra during thelast three years is annexed as Annexure-II.

(a) the details of the number of houses sanctioned, under-construction, completed and occupied under various components such as In-situ Slum Redevelopment, The Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme, The Affordable Housing in Partnership and Subsidy for beneficiary-led individual house construction/enhancement of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) and deadline for completion of in progress projects, State/UT and year-wise;

SANCTIONED HOUSES

(b) the details of funds allocated, sanctioned, disbursed and utilized under each of the aforesaid components of PMAY-U, State/UT-wise; and

(c) the details of the number of beneficiaries who were provided houses and rehabilitated under each component of PMAY-U, State/UT-wise?

THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS

(SHRI KAUSHAL KISHORE)

(a) to (c): ‘Land’ and ‘Colonization’ are State subjects. Therefore, the respective States/Union Territories (UTs) addresses the housing needs of their population. However, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, under the vision of ‘Housing for All’, is supplementing  the efforts of States/ UTs by providing Central Assistance under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U), for construction of houses for all eligible families/ beneficiaries since 25.06.2015. Eligible beneficiaries can avail the benefit of PMAY-U through four verticals, i.e. Beneficiary-led Construction or enhancement (BLC); Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP); ‘In-Situ’ Slum Redevelopment (ISSR) and Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS). Under PMAY-U, States/ UTs prepare project proposals based on the housing requirements in urban areas taking into account the resources available with them and submit such proposals to this Ministry for release of admissible Central Assistance. Completion of projects generally takes 12- 18 months under BLC vertical and 24-36 months under AHP vertical of the Scheme.

Accordingly, based on the proposals received under different components of PMAY-U, 115.48lakh houses have been sanctioned so far. Of the sanctioned houses, 95.13 lakh houses have been grounded for construction; of which 56.33 lakh houses have been completed and 51.72 lakh houses have been occupied by the identified beneficiaries; State/ UT- wise details of which along with details of Central Assistance approved, released and utilized under BLC, AHP, ISSR and CLSS components of PMAY-U are at Annexure I,II,III and IV. All States/ UTs have been advised to complete construction of all houses and allot them as pertime frame stipulated in respective Detailed Project Reports (DPRs).

Revised Integrated Housing Scheme (RIHS) is being implemented by Ministry of Labour and Employment. The Region/year-wise number of beedi workers who were provided houses under the RIHS during the last three years and the current year is at Annexure-I.

Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) is implementing ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Urban (PMAY-U) – Housing for All’ Mission since June 2015. So far, 1.14 crore houses have been sanctioned under PMAY-U. Year wise houses sanctioned in States/ Union Territories during the last three years and current year is at Annexure-II. However, the Ministry does not maintain occupation-wise beneficiaries’ data under PMAY-U including beedi workers.

Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state:

(a) the total number of houses constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) (PMAY(U)) during last five years, year-wise, State-wise and district-wise;

(b) the expenditure incurred thereon, year-wise; and

(c) the number of houses constructed for people belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes?

MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS

(a) & (b): A total of 1,10,64,480 houses have been sanctioned under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U); out of which, 73,55,326 houses are at various stages of construction and nearly 43,21,126 are completed/ delivered. Central Assistance of ₹1,78,199 crore has been approved; out of this, ₹90,586 crore have been released to the States/ Union Territories (UTs) and Central Nodal Agencies so far.
Out of 43,21,126 completed houses, 32,02,215 houses have been completed during the last five years. Year- wise, State/ UT-wise and District-wise details are at Annexure-I. Year-wise details of expenditure incurred thereon are at Annexure-II.

(c): Around 26 lakh houses have been sanctioned for the beneficiaries belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes categories; out of which, nearly 10.14 lakh houses have been completed.
