The 2nd Advance Estimates of production of major crops for 2018-19 have been released by the Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare on 28th February, 2019. The cumulative rainfall in the country during the monsoon season (June to September, 2018) has been 9% lower than Long Period Average (LPA). The cumulative rainfall in North West India, Central India and South Peninsula during the aforesaid period has been overall normal. Most of the major crops producing states have witnessed normal monsoon rainfall. Accordingly, the production of most of the crops for the agricultural year 2018-19 has been estimated higher than their normal production. Government of India has notified the Electoral Bond Scheme 2018 vide Gazette Notification No. 20 dated 02nd January 2018. As per provisions of the Scheme, Electoral Bonds may be purchased by a person (as defined in item No. 2 (d) of Gazette Notification), who is a citizen of India or incorporated or established in India. A person being an individual can buy Electoral Bonds, either singly or jointly with other individuals. Only the Political Parties registered under Section 29A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951) and which secured not less than one per cent of the votes polled in the last General Election to the House of the People or the Legislative Assembly of the State, shall be eligible to receive the Electoral Bonds. All airports located near the Pakistan border have been kept on high alert after alleged Pakistan’s fighter jets incursion inside the Indian border, reported News 18.

While the official did not specify the nature of the emergency, it is believed the step was taken in view of an IAF jet crashing in Budgam district this morning
Srinagar, Jammu and Leh airports were among five airports closed on Wednesday for civilian air traffic shortly after an IAF jet crashed in Kashmir’s Budgam district, officials said.
The move to close the five airports comes amid escalation of tension between India and Pakistan after IAF carried out strikes on terror bases in Pakistan.
Airports at Chandigarh and Amritsar were among those closed, according to airline officials.
In Srinagar, an official of the Airports Authority of India told PTI, “The civilian air traffic has been suspended temporarily in view of the emergency“.

Ministry of AYUSH and WHO are jointly organizing a three days Working Group Meeting for reviewing the WHO document “Benchmarks for Training in Yoga” from 26-28 February, 2019 at New Delhi. The meeting is coordinated by Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga (MDNIY. WHO is developing Benchmarks Document for Training in Yoga as part of its global strategy to strengthen the quality, safety and effectiveness of Traditional and Complementary Medicine. Development of this benchmarks document is included in the Project Collaboration Agreement signed between World Health Organization (WHO) and Ministry of AYUSH on Cooperation in the field of Traditional and Complementary Medicine under WHO strategy covering the period 2014-2023.

As per the information made available by the Hon’ble Supreme Court, 58,029 cases including petty cases were pending in the Supreme Court as on 01.02.2019. As per data available on the National Judicial Data Grid (NJDG), 40.94 lakhs cases were pending in High Courts, and 2.96 crore cases were pending in District and Subordinate Courts as on 08.02.2019. NJDG does not separately provide the number of petty cases going on in the Supreme Court, High Courts and lower courts.

The first Health and Wellness Centre (HWC)under Ayushman Bharat was inaugurated by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiat Jangla in Bijapur Chhattisgarh on 14th April 2018. Since then 10,252 HWCs have been operationalized. The states of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala lead the way with the highest number of HWCs under Ayushman Bharat. Andhra Pradesh has operationalized 1361 HWCs, Tamil Nadu 1318, UP 912, Karnataka 700 and Kerala 678 HWCs.

Cabinet approves release of an additional instalment of DA to Central Government employees and DR to Pensioners, due from 1.1.2019  The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given its approval to the release of an additional instalment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to Central Government employees, and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners w.e.f. 1.1.2019 representing an increase of 3% over the existing rate of 9% of the Basic Pay/Pension, to compensate for price rise. This increase is in accordance with the accepted formula, which is based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC). The combined impact on the exchequer on account of both DA and DR would be Rs. 9168.12 crore per annum and Rs. 10696.14 crore in the FY 2019-20 (for a period of 14 months from January 2019 to February, 2020).This will benefit about 48.41 lakh Central Gover…

Investigation Tracking System for Sexual Offences (ITSSO) and Safe City Implementation Monitoring Portal also launched Rs. 78.86 crores announced to strengthen DNA analysis capacities of four State Forensic Science laboratories for speedy investigation of rape cases  The Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh and Minister for Women and Child Development, Smt. Maneka Sanjay Gandhi here today jointly launched the Women Safety initiative of Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) in 16 States/UTs and Mumbai city. People in these states and UTs can now call a single pan India number 112 for any emergency. In addition, Investigation Tracking System for Sexual Offences (ITSSO) and Safe City Implementation Monitoring Portal were also launched. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Rajnath Singh said launch of ERSS is a “milestone in women safety in the country.”

         विदेश मत्रालय ने अपनी पत्नियों का परित्याग करने वाल अनिवासी भारतीय (एनआरआई) पतियों के पासपोर्ट लुकआउट सर्कुलरों/गैर-जमानती वारंटों/समनों/न्यायालय नोटिसों के आधार पर पासपोर्ट अधिनियम, 1967 की धारा 10 ए के अंतर्गत निलंबित और पासपोर्ट अधिनियम, 1967 की धारा 10 (3) के अंतर्गत पासपोर्ट जब्त/निरस्त किए हैं। विदेश मंत्रालय ने 21 पासपोर्ट निरस्त 21 पासपोर्ट निलंबित और 1 पासपोर्ट जब्त किए हैं।
         अपने अनिवासी भारतीय पतियों द्वारा परित्यक्त या प्रताड़ित भारतीय महिलाओं की ओर से विदेश मंत्रालय को अर्जियां प्राप्त होती रही हैं। इस मंत्रालय (विदेश स्थित भारतीय मिशनों सहित) ने जनवरी, 2016 से दिसंबर, 2018 के बीच अपने अनिवासी भारतीय पतियों द्वारा परित्यक्त पीड़ित भारतीय महिलाओं की 5,379 शिकायतों का निपटान किया है। निपटान की गई शिकायतों के वर्ष-वार आकड़े निम्नानुसार हैं:

       फ्लेक्सी किराए की अवधारणा सभी राजधानी, शताब्दी और दुरंतो एक्सप्रेस गाड़ियों में 09.09.2016 से शुरू की गई थी जिनकी संख्या उस समय 148 थी। सितम्बर 2016 से अगस्त 2018 (फ्लेक्सी किराए की अवधि) तक की अवधि के दौरान राजधानी, दुरंतो एवं शताब्दी एक्सप्रेस गाडियों में बुक किए गए यात्रियों की संख्या के विश्लेषण से पता चला है कि इन गाड़ियों में पिछले वर्ष (गैर फ्लेक्सी अवधि के दौरान) की तदनुरूपी अवधि के दौरान बुक किए गए यात्रियों की संख्या की तुलना में 0.95 प्रतिशत वृद्धि हुई है।

The Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh has said cyber crimes pose a challenge to traditional policing and called upon the Police personnel to hone their skills to tackle the threats posed from the cyber world. Inaugurating the Cyber Prevention, Awareness & Detection Centre (CyPAD) of Delhi Police and National Cyber Forensic Lab, MHA here today, he pointed out that cyber crime has emerged as a big challenge and said, “If we have to build public trust in a Digital World, then we will have to bear Zero Tolerance towards Cyber Crime.”

In August 2014 the first coach was rolled out and since then it has doubled production almost every year. It is expected to produce 1,422 coaches in 2018-19 of which 1,220 coaches have already been produced till date. MCF has least cost among all Production Units of Indian Railways for coaches produced. New concepts such as extensive use of Robotics, automation etc. are being implemented in MCF. To augment production, it is planned that Vande Bharat Express train sets too will be manufactured here.

(क) से (1) विदेश मंत्रालय को समय-समय पर भारतीय उत्प्रवासियों या उनके संबंधियों से शिकायतें प्राप्त होती रहती हैं जिन्हें अवैध एजेंटों/धोखेबाज एजेंसियों द्वारा धोखे से प्रवासी रोजगार के लिए भेज दिया जाता है और इसके बाद वे धोखाधड़ी, नौकरी देने से इंकार करने, कार्य की बुरी स्थितियों आदि के शिकार हो जाते हैं। विदेश मंत्रालय का एक सुदृढ़ शिकायत निवारण तंत्र है और धोखाधड़ी के शिकार उत्प्रवासियों की शिकायतों का ऑनलाइन पंजीकरण हेतु मदद और ई-माइग्रेट पोर्टल भी इसमें शामिल हैं।
