Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) Extended for Central Government Employees

The Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) has been launched as an option under the National Pension System (NPS) specifically for Central Government employees. This initiative aims to provide assured payouts, enhancing the financial security of government personnel upon retirement.

In response to requests from employees and their associations, the government has extended the deadline for opting into the UPS by three months, now set to conclude on 30th September 2025. This extension allows more employees to consider this beneficial scheme.
