VACANCY CIRCULAR

Subject: Filling up of posts in 8th Central Pay Commission on deputation basis – reg.

This refers to DOE’s Vacancy Circular No. A-11011/ 1/2023- Ad.I dated 17.04.2025 and Commission’s circulars of even no. dt. 29.12.2025 & 19.01.2026. In order to obtain access to a wider pool of candidates, the Commission invites applications for positions at Director/ Dy. Secretary/Under Secretary/ PSO /Sr. PPS/ PPS as indicated in Annexures, as per eligibility criteria specified therein.

2. These posts are to be staffed from the date of appointment in the Commission on deputation basis till the tenure of the Commission. The appointments will be governed by the norms prescribed by DoPT from time to time. It is requested to circulate this requirement among the relevant officials and personnel in the organizations. The revised eligibility criteria and the proforma is attached.

3. Applicants who have already applied earlier need not to apply again and will be assessed based on eligibility criteria indicated in the Annexures. Fresh nominations/applications, in the attached proforma along with the supporting documents i.e. APAR for last 5 years, Vigilance Clearance, Cadre Clearance etc be sent to the Commission only by email at [email protected] with a copy at [email protected] latest by 9th March 2026. Therefore, the duly filed/verified applications may be shared at the earliest. Meanwhile, eligible officers may send advance copy to 8CPC at above emails.

Annexure-I

Eligibility conditions for the post of Director/Dy Secretary (Level-13/12 of Pay Matrix) in 8th Central Pay Commission.

(iv)  with nine years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the Level-7 of Pay Matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre/Department.

(b) Possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:

(i)  Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or its equivalent

Eligibility conditions for the post of PS/PPS/Sr. PPS/PSO (Level- 08/10/11/12/13 of Pay Matrix) in 8th Central Pay Commission.

(iv)    with five years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Level 10 of Pay Matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre/department (for PPS); or

(v)   with total six years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis on Level 8 and Level 10 of Pay Matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre/department (for PPS); or

(vi)    with nine years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Level 7 of Pay Matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre/department (for PPS); or

(vii)   with two/five years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in Level 07 of Pay Matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre/department (for PS).
