VACANCIES UNDER DELHI POLICE
1999 SHRI PRAKASH CHIK BARAIK:
Will the Minister of HOME AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) the rank-wise total sanctioned strength and vacancies under Delhi Police;
(b) the duration for which these posts have remained vacant; and

(c) timeline for filling these vacancies?

(a) to (c): The rank-wise total sanctioned strength and vacancies under Delhi Police, as on 30.11.2025, is at Annexure-‘A’. Occurrence of vacancies is a dynamic process which depends, inter-alia, on retirement, promotion and resignation etc., and filling them is a continuous process. The vacancies are reported to the recruiting agencies on regular basis and appointments are made after completion of recruitment process viz. written examination, physical test and medical examination.
