MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION
(SHRI JAYANT CHAUDHARY)
(a) to (c): Central Government Schools namely Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVs) and Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) are under the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education.
National Education Policy 2020, provides for Pupil-Teacher ratio (PTR) of 30:1 at all levels of school education system to have a reasonable level of interactive learning and achieving desired level of learning outcomes. The student–teacher ratio in NV, Dholpur and NV, Karauli is 19:1 and 18:1, respectively. The student–teacher ratio in KV, Dholpur and KV, Karauli is 22:1 and 23:1, respectively. The national average for PTR in NV and KV is 18:1 and 27:1, respectively.
The Navodaya Vidyalaya Scheme envisages for opening of one NV in each district of the country. Accordingly, an NV in Dholpur district is already functioning since 1998 from its permanent campus.
There are 15 and 25 smart classrooms in NV and KV, respectively, in Karauli district.
