Invitation for sending entries for July edition of Sapno ki Udaan-an e-Magazine published by the NCERT.
This is in continuation of notification no. Acad 35 dated 22.05.2025 regarding the e-magazine Sapno ki Udaan. The following is the theme for the July, 2025 issue of the magazine –
“My Colourful Summer Vacation: A Season of Stories, Sunshine and Self-Discovery”
You are requested to submit the original work on the theme mentioned above as per the guidelines given at Annexure-A. The entries must be submitted through the google form latest by 4:00 pm on 29.06.2025.

Sapno Ki Udaan, July 2025 Issue
Call for Submissions:
Theme: My Colourful Summer Vacation: A Season of Stories, Sunshine, and Self- Discovery
Summer vacations are not just a break from school, they are the colourful zones in the calendar every year! Whether you spent your time travelling, learning something new, bonding with family, exploring your passions, or experimenting in the kitchen, we want to hear about it all.
In this issue of Sapno Ki Udaan, we invite students’ contributions capturing the magic of summer through writing, art, photography, reflections, etc. with a flavourful twist on the theme mentioned above. Your creative submission may be based on (but not limited to) the sub-themes listed below:
Sub-Themes:
- Summer foods, fruit feasts, or homemade cold treats
- Travel & Taste: A dish you tried during a trip or a culinary adventure from your hometown
- Memories that made your vacation special
- Successes or funny food fails
- Regional or cultural dishes experienced during holidays
- Doodles, paintings, or comics born from lazy afternoons
- Stories or poems inspired by your summer experiences
- Capturing landscapes, moods, or memories
- Honest reflections on the school assignments given to you and others
- Any new skill that you mastered, whether it is cycling, coding, journaling, a craft, etc.
- Favourite reads and what they meant for you
- Fun times with family and kins
- Summer tales told by elders or the time spent in their company
- How the weather shaped your holidays?
- Board games, online games, or playground fun
- Songs that defined the mood of your vacation
Categories and Word Limits
1. Poems (12–32 lines)
- Summer flavours, memories, and moods captured in verse.
2. Stories (600–1200 words)
- Personal summer experiences involving food, travel, or traditions.
3. Articles (700–1500 words)
- Explore topics like summer learnings, hobbies, activities you like to engage yourself, travel tips, etc.
4. Dialogues or Plays (400–700 words)
- Create conversations or short scenes – siblings on holiday, planning a trip, or a funny vacation moment.
5. Essays (500–800 words)
- Share your views or experiences: how summer changed you, what you learned, or why you’ll never forget it.
6. Illustrations and Posters (high-resolution artwork of at least 300 dpi) Show your vacation through drawings, comics, posters, or digital art for your favourite attractions like beaches, books, bikes, or your dream destination etc.
7. Profiles (400–800 words)
- Highlight someone who made your summer meaningful – a relative, teacher, traveller, or friend.
8. Travelogues (800–1200 words)
- Describe a place you visited and the memories that came with it. (Share raw pictures as a separate attachment. Avoid pictures with personal presence.)
9. State Snapshots – Infographics or Creative Write-ups (up to 500 words)
- A creative write-up or infographic showcasing summer in your state through fairs, festivals, landscapes, customs, etc.
10. Photography (High-resolution JPEG/PNG, min 300 dpi)
- Submit photos that capture the essence of summer—nature, people, places, summer foods and beverages, etc. with a 50 – 100-word caption. (Avoid pictures with personal presence)
11. Reflections (500–1000 words)
- Share how you spent your vacation, or your personal insights on what summer taught you about life, family, self, or dreams.
12. Career Guidance
- Explore summer internships, online courses, or dream careers that you discovered during your break.
Submission Guidelines
- All submissions must be original and unpublished.
- Artwork must be original or used with proper permissions.
- Plagiarism and machine generated content will result in disqualification.
- Adhere to the word limits as per each category mentioned.
- Font & Format
English: Times New Roman, 12pt, 1.5-line spacing
Hindi: Unicode, 14pt, 1.5-line spacing
Submit in DOC/DOCX or PDF format - Submissions should include your details, like:
- Full Name
- Class (if student)
- School/Organization Name and address
