New Kendriya Vidyalayas in Haryana Approved by CCEA

OFFICE ORDER

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved the setting up of 57 new Kendriya Vidyalayas under Civil Sector all over the country.

2. Further, pursuant to Clause 1 (ii) of Annexure- I of the norms prescribed for opening of new Kendriya Vidyalayas under Civil Sector, the sponsoring authority is required to transfer the identified and demarcated land free of cost to Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan on lease or permanent transfer basis prior to opening of the new Kenchiya Vidyalayas. Besides, the rent free suitable temporary accommodation where the sanctioned KV will run initially (till the permanent building of KV is constructed) also needs to be handed over to the Kendriya Vidyalaya authority.

Moreover, KVS is not mandated to pay any kind of fees etc. for such transfer of land for educational purposes and being a Central Government property, KV school building will be exempted from the charges such as property tax/Service tax/Municipality taxes etc.

3. Necessary administrative sanction orders for the opening of the new Kendriya Vidyalayas will be issued immediately after transfer of the land free of cost and possession of rent free suitable temporary accommodation in favour of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. Therefore, all sponsoring authorities are required to transfer the requisite extent of land in favour of KVS and also fulfil the requirement of transfer of temporary accommodation to Kendriya Vidyalaya authorities for running of Kendriya Vidyalaya besides completing other requirements (electricity, potable water, approach road etc.) latest by 15th October, 2025.

4. The details of proposal which has been approved by Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) for opening of new Kendriya Vidyalayas sponsored by the State Government of Haryana is as under: –
