Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) whether Government has launched the Light House Projects (LHPs) scheme in some States of the country under the Global Housing Technology Challenge (GHTC);
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) the details of the companies around the world who participated through new technology, State- wise/UT-wise;
(d) whether an incubation centre is also proposed to be set up through innovation and technology; and
(e) if so, the details thereof?

STATEMENT REFERRED IN REPLY TO RAJYA SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. *172 FOR 10.03.2021 REGARDING ‘LIGHT HOUSE PROJECTS’
(a) & (b): Yes, Sir. Government has launched six Light House Projects (LHPs) in six cities from across the country under the Global Housing Technology Challenge – India (GHTC-India), the details in this regard are at Annexure-I.
(c): The list of 54 Technology Providers which participated under GHTC-India is at Annexure-II.
(d) & (e): Yes, Sir. Five Incubation Centres have been set up under Affordable Sustainable Housing Accelerators – India (ASHA-India) initiative at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Bombay and Council of Scientific & Industrial Research – North East Institute of Science & Technology (CSIR–NEIST) Jorhat, Assam in collaboration with CSIR – Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) Roorkee.
