Eligibility for Additional Benefits Under Unified Pension Scheme
The eligibility criteria for additional benefits under the Upside Pension Scheme (UPS) have identified 25,756 retired Central Government subscribers. These eligible individuals include employees who have either superannuated, passed away, or retired under Fundamental Rules 56(j) on or before March 31, 2025. To qualify, these subscribers must have completed ten years or more of qualifying service and must have been covered under the National Pension System (NPS).
This initiative aims to provide enhanced financial security to retired government employees and their families, ensuring that those who have dedicated significant time to public service receive the benefits they deserve. Eligible subscribers are encouraged to review the specifics of the UPS to understand the benefits available to them.
