Under the notification, eligible Ex-Agniveers will receive the following benefits in direct recruitment to Forest Guard and Wildlife Guard posts:
20% horizontal reservation: Twenty per cent of vacancies will be reserved horizontally for eligible Ex-Agniveers, or at such percentage as may be prescribed by the government from time to time.
Three years’ age relaxation: Ex-Agniveers will receive an additional three years of relaxation beyond the prescribed upper age limit.

Reservation Not Limited to Delhi Domicile
Another significant provision states that the benefits will be available to eligible Ex-Agniveers in accordance with the Government of India’s instructions. The reservation will not be restricted exclusively to Ex-Agniveers domiciled in Delhi unless such a restriction is specifically approved by the competent authority with recorded justification.
