Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for College and University Students (CSSS) – Applications Open for 2025-26
The Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students (CSSS), sponsored by the Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education, is now accepting online applications for the academic year 2025-26. This includes applications for fresh scholarships as well as renewals for previous years: 1st Renewal for 2024, 2nd Renewal for 2023, 3rd Renewal for 2022, and 4th Renewal for 2021.
Students interested in applying can do so through the National Scholarship Portal at http://scholarships.gov.in. The deadline for submitting both fresh and renewal applications for the 2025-26 scholarship is October 31, 2025.
Candidates are strongly advised to complete their applications online within the specified timeframe. It is also essential to have their applications verified by their respective institutions. If required, students should present original documents for verification; failure to do so may result in the application being deemed invalid.
Nodal officers at each institute are requested to ensure timely verification of applications submitted by students through their institute login, which includes the ability to verify, defect, or reject applications as necessary.

Online application for “Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students” for the year 2025-26, 1st Renewal for the year 2024, 2nd renewal for the year 2023, 3rd Renewal for the year 2022 and 4th Renewal for the year 2021 is available on National Scholarship Portal (http://scholarships.gov.in). Students may visit the National Scholarship Portal to apply for fresh & renewal of scholarship.
The last date for submission of online application form for renewal and fresh scholarship 2025-26, is 31.10.2025.
All the candidates are advised to apply online within the stipulated time and get their online applications verified by the institutions (if required show the original documents to institute) else the application would be treated as INVALID.
All the Nodal officers of Institute are requested for timely verification (verify/defect/reject) of the online applications at their institute login.
