Subject: Celebration of Janjatiya Gaurav Divas 2025 – reg.
As you are aware, 15th November, the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda is celebrated as Janjatiya Gaurav Divas to honour all the tribal freedom fighters and for remembering and acknowledging their contribution to the freedom struggle and cultural heritage. The coming 15th November is the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
The period from 1st November – 15th November, 2025 will be commemorated as Janjatiya Gaurav Pakhwara in all CBSE schools. To celebrate the Janjatiya Gaurav Divas (JJGD) 2025 and the contribution of tribal communities to Indian society and heritage in general, the schools may organise the suggestive activities from 1st November – 15th November, 2025 enclosed at Annexure-1 and may further customize these activities so as to cover the following broad themes:
- Socio-Economic Development and Awareness
- Education and Skill Development
- Livelihood and Entrepreneurship
- Health and Wellness
- Art, Culture and Heritage
- Infrastructure Development
- Governance and Institutional Strengthening
The schools may ensure documentation of the events with the photography and videography and upload event details on the dedicated portal: https://adiprasaran.tribal.gov.in/jjgd/home.aspx. It is also urged to use official hashtags –
#JanjatiyaGauravVarsh, #BirsaMunda150 and #EmpoweringTribalsViksitBharat for coordinated social media visibility.
