Subject: Advisory on Procurement of Genuine NCERT Textbooks
Dear Principal,
It has come to the notice of the Board that unauthorized book sellers are supplying counterfeit/fake versions of NCERT textbooks at discounted prices. These fake textbooks are of inferior quality and often contain printing and content errors, which may adversely affect the learning experience of students.
All CBSE-affiliated schools are, therefore, advised to counsel parents to purchase only authentic NCERT textbooks from authorized channels to ensure quality and correctness of content. In case school procures NCERT textbooks, it should be only through authorized sources notified by CBSE and NCERT from time to time. Authentic NCERT textbooks may be purchased through:
- i. NCERT Regional Production & Distribution Centres (RPDCs)
- ii. Authorized vendors listed on the NCERT website (www.ncert.nic.in)
- iii. NCERT Postal Supply Service on the NCERT portal
- iv. Official NCERT Amazon storefront (amazon.in/NCERT)
Schools may circulate the above information and ask all concerned to contact the nearest RPDC for assistance:
