Will the Minister of AYUSH be pleased to state:

(a) the details of the Government hospitals established for providing Ayurvedic treatment facilities across the country during the last three years and the current year, State/UT-wise including Gujarat and Rajasthan;

(b) whether any campaigns have been carried out to inform the people of the availability of such facilities in the Government hospitals; and

(c) if so, the details thereof along with the initiatives taken/proposed to be taken by the Government to promote and publicise such treatment facilities effectively, particularly through vernacular newspapers in the country?

(a) to (c) Public Health being a State subject, the primary responsibility to establish Government hospitals for providing Ayurvedic treatment facilities across the country including Gujarat and Rajasthan lies with the respective State/UT Government. However, under Centrally Sponsored Scheme of National Ayush Mission (NAM), there is provision of financial assistance to States/UTs for setting up of 50/30/10 bedded integrated Ayush hospitals including Ayurveda and State/UT Governments may avail financial assistance by submitting suitable proposals through State Annual Action Plans (SAAPs) as per the provisions of NAM guidelines. As per proposal received from the State/UT Governments, Ministry has approved 137 Integrated Ayush hospitals

from 2014-15 to 2022-23. State/UT-wise detailed status of integrated Ayush hospitals, as reported by the State/UT Governments including Gujarat and Rajasthan during the last three years and the current year is furnished at Annexure. Under NAM, there is a provision of financial assistance for Behaviour Change Communication (BCC)/IEC activities. The State/UT Governments may avail the eligible financial assistance under these activities by submitting suitable proposals through SAAPs for conducting campaigns, mass media communication etc. to publicize the strength of Ayush systems of medicine and availability of Ayush health facilities in the community for their information.
