3.5L people have not got house under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
The opposition BJP in Chhattisgarh on Monday said it has received more than 3.5 lakh applications from the people who were deprived of housing under the PM Awas Yojana as the Congress government did not provide state share for implementing the scheme in Chhattisgarh.
Talking to reporters, state BJP president Arun Sao said his party has launched a campaign ‘Mor Awas, Mor Adhikar’ to gather the details of people who could not get houses due to Congress government laxity.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the housing scheme to provide houses to deprived sections of the country. The BJP government had provided six lakh houses to the needy in Chhattisgarh between 2015 and 2018 after the scheme was launched in 2015. From 60 to 200 houses were built in each village. On the contrary, the Congress government has snatched 11 lakh houses of the poor on the pretext of higher state share,” Sao said.

Blaming Congress government over religious conversions, Sao said that Bastar is boiling as this government has acted insensibly in the matter. “Instead of protecting the tribal society struggling to save their religion and culture, this government is putting them behind bars,” Sao said.
