Delhi government has asked all the DDEs to ensure that the online verification of the applications for the state funded scheme are completed for the Reimbursement of Tuition Fees to the Minority Students of Classes 1 to 12 for the years 2020 -21 and 2021-22. An official order was issued by the Delhi Directorate of Education, Delhi DoE.

Delhi Schools (private schools) had been directed to complete the process by May 12, 2022. This not done, the government has asked the schools to act on the circular with alarcity.

The circular has also asked DDE (Zones) to 'collect a certificate from the concerned schools that the online verification has been done as per the guidelines of the scheme and also issue a certificate under the signature that they have also verified the application at the zonal level as per the guidelines of the scheme." The Officers have been advised to submit these certificates in hard copy at the centres. Check official notice below.

Delhi School Fees has been a relatively volatile issue in context of private schools. Over the last couple of days, many parents have alleged arbitrary fee hike by many private schools. Some have even resorted to protests, demanding answers from the government.

The said scheme has guaranteed the reimbursement of the tution fees of minority, SC, ST and OBC students of all classes 1 to 12 who meet the criteria as listed in the scheme. The scheme aims to provide affordable education to the students who belong to low income households.
