Subject:   Performance or the students or Class X in Term-I Exams -reg

Circular No. CBSE/ DIR(ACAD)/ 51/ 2021 dated July 05, 2021 issued by the CBSE provided for the conduct of Boards Examinations for session 2021-22 in two terms i.e., Term-I and Term-II.

The Term-I examinations were conducted as per schedule . While communicating performance of Term-I examinations to the schools, following important information is also being communicated to all concerned for needful action: –

Performance or the students or Class X in Term-I Exams

(1) The Board is informing the schools only about the theory performance of their students of Class X in a collective manner. Hence, the performance of individual student  will not be available on the website.

(2) The information about the performance of students is based on the performance of the students uploaded by the schools.  In the subjects where the assessment was not done by the schools, performance based on the scanning of OMR Sheets is being communicated to the schools.

(3) In case, the students missed their Term- I exams due to COVID or because of the participation in National/ International Sports/Olympiads etc., no performance of Term-I examinations is being communicated . However, their final performance will be assessed based on performance in Term-II examinations in accordance with  circular  no. CBSE/Coord/  Sports/ 2021-22   dated   09/  11/2021.

(4) Only theory performance is communicated to the students. The information about practical/ project/internal assessment is already with the schools.

(5) Being Term – I only, no Mark Sheet cum Passing Certificate is being issued now. Only one Mark Sheet cum Passing Certificate will be issued after Term-II examination to have parity with the previous results. This will be comprising of total marks of both the Terms as per weightage decided of Term-I and Term-II examinations.

(6) To address the difficulty level between the two sets of Question Papers in Term-I examinations, needful action will be taken at the time of preparation of the final result.

(7) The weightage of Term-I and Term-II will be decided at the time of declaration of Term-II result and accordingly, final performance will be calculated .

(8) Result of Class X will be declared only after Term-II examinations wherein   the   candidates   will    be    placed    in    the    Essential Repeat/ Compartment/  Pass category etc.

(9) No examination centre will be changed in Term-II Examination. Students will appear only from the examination centres allotted to their school.

(10) The Compartment Examinations will be conducted based on the syllabus of Term-II examinations.

(11) In case of the Patrachar Vidyalaya/ Private candidates, as the students will be appearing only in Term-II examination their marks in Practical and Theory will be awarded on pro-rata basis.

(12) In all cases, where ever problems have been reported in the question papers or marking schemes, due care has been taken by the Board and the performance of the students has been calculated by the Board taking into account the revised marking scheme where-ever applicable or awarding marks for dropped questions in a suitable manner keeping in mind the academic interests of the students.

(13) Action as per rules on Unfair means, sub-judice, not eligible and result later cases etc. will be taken at the time of final results. Such candidates are presently allowed to appear in Term-II Examinations.

(14) Online Dispute Redressal Mechanism for Term-I examinations is made available immediately. This facility will be available till 26.03.202 2. However, disputes will be decided along-with verification schedule after the declaration of Term-II results.
