PROGRESS OF CONSTRUCTION OF HOUSES UNDER PMAY-G
1587 Shri Chandra kant Damodar Handore:
Will the Minister of Rural Development be pleased to state:
(a) whether any target has been fixed for construction of number of houses under PM Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G);
(b) the amount of funds allocated and spent during the last three years and in current year in the country, State-wise; and
(c) whether any monitoring Committee has been formed to review the progress of construction of houses in various States under the scheme, if so, the details thereof?

(a): Yes. The Ministry of Rural Development is implementing the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana- Gramin (PMAY-G) w.e.f. 1st April, 2016 to construct 4.95 crore houses by March 2029 (including the target of first phase i.e. 2.95 crore houses) by providing assistance to eligible rural households with basic amenities to attain the goal of “Housing for All”.
(b): The details of Central Share released to the States/UTs under PMAY-G during the last financial three years and in the current financial year are given in Annexure.
(c): The Empowered Committee headed by the Secretary, Department of Rural Development reviews the progress of the scheme while approving the annual action plan of the States/UTs. Performance monitoring of PMAY-G is also done through real time capture of progress using workflow enabled transactional data in MIS i.e. Awaas Soft and dedicated analytic dashboard for micro monitoring. The guidelines of the scheme provide for monitoring of the scheme through the Performance Review Committee (PRC) meeting with States/UTs, inspections by central teams, Area Officers, National Level Monitors (NLM), monitoring by District Development Coordination and Monitoring (DISHA) Committee headed by Member of Parliament, Social Audit, etc.
