University Grants Commission (Open and Distance Learning Programmes and Online Programmes) Third Amendment Regulations, 2024
UNIVERSITY GRANTS COMMISSION
NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 2nd May, 2024
No. F. 1-5/2024 (DEB-I).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 26 read with clause (j) of section 12 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956) with the previous approval of Central Government, the University Grants Commission hereby makes the following regulations to further amend the University Grants Commission (Open and Distance Learning Programmes and Online Programmes) Regulations, 2020, namely:-
1. Short title and commencement.─
(1) These regulations may be called the University Grants Commission (Open and Distance Learning Programmes and Online Programmes) Third Amendment Regulations, 2024 (UIN:1/2024).
(2) This shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the University Grants Commission (Open and Distance Learning Programmes and Online Programmes) Regulations, 2020, in regulation 3,─
I. in clause (A), in sub-clause (i), for the first proviso, the following proviso shall be substituted, namely:—
“Provided that the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking requirements shall be valid for academic session beginning July- August, 2024 and onwards, unless notified otherwise:”;
II. in clause (B),—
(i) in sub-clause (a), for the second proviso, the following proviso shall be substituted, namely:—
“Provided further that the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking requirements shall be valid for academic session beginning July-August, 2024 and onwards, unless notified otherwise:”;
(ii) in sub-clause (b), in item (ii), for the first proviso, the following proviso shall be substituted, namely:-
“Provided that the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranking requirements shall be valid for academic session beginning July-August, 2024 and onwards, unless notified otherwise:”.
