Placements in ‘Seekho Aur Kamao’ Scheme

Will the Minister of Minority Affairs be pleased to state:
(a) number of minority persons trained under ‘Seekho aur Kamao’ scheme in last five years, Including Sikhs, Year-wise, State-wise, District-wise for Punjab;
(b) number of minority persons Placed under ‘Seekho aur Kamao’ scheme in last five years, Including Sikhs, Year-wise, State-wise, District-wise for Punjab;
(c) fund allocated and utilised for the said scheme in last five years, State-wise, district-wise for Punjab;
(d) number of training centres functioning for the said scheme, State-wise, district-wise for Punjab; and
(e) details of Number of training centres got closed in last five years, State-wise and district-wise for Punjab?

(a) to (e) The number of minority beneficiaries including Sikhs that have been trained and placed, and the number of training centres under the Seekho aur Kamao scheme of the Ministry of Minority Affairs (MoMA) in the last five years i.e. 2018-19 to 2022-23 is as under:

The State/UT-wise number of beneficiaries covered under the scheme is available on the website of the Ministry at www.minorityaffairs.gov.in.
A total of Rs.1040 crores was allocated to the Ministry under the Seekho aur Kamao scheme during the last five years, of which Rs.875.04 crores was utilised. The scheme was implemented by Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) empanelled by the Ministry across the country. The Ministry sanctioned targets to the PIAs for scheme implementation and not to the individual Training Centres. The number of Training Centres got closed in the last five years is not maintained by this Ministry. No state-wise fund allocation was made to the PIAs under this scheme.
