Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has launched a new flat scheme to ensure people have their own homes. In this scheme, 5500 flats will be allotted to the people. Along with this new scheme, DDA has given a new facility to the people, under which people can increase the size of their flat by connecting two adjacent flats.

A senior official told that the DDA has approved the addition of flats offered under the ongoing flat scheme. With this the flat owners will be able to increase the size of their flat. The official said that by putting a gate in the wall between the two flats, the owner will be able to increase the size of his house.

Flat scheme is getting strong response

DDA has opened this new flat scheme on June 30, in which flats will be distributed to the people on the basis of first come first serve (FCFS). DDA officials told that this scheme is getting very good response from the people. So far about 4000 people have registered themselves in this scheme.
What is the new rule

The official said that if an applicant buys two flats side by side in the fourth phase of FCFS, then with the necessary conditions, the flat owner will be able to connect both the flats by installing a gate.
