Mukhyamantri Ghar Ghar Ration Yojana has been launched by the Delhi government on 21 July 2020. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has started this CM Doorstep Delivery of Ration Scheme to ensure home delivery of ration. The main objective of this scheme is to ensure that no poor person in the NCT of Delhi is deprived of subsidized ration. Now lets check when the home delivery of ration will start, where to place order & complete details about the scheme.

Under the new Mukhya Mantri Ghar Ghar Ration Yojana 2020, wheat, flour, rice and sugar will be delivered to homes in packed bags. The doorstep delivery of ration scheme in Delhi is expected to be rolled out in the next 6 to 7 months. Moreover, taking ration at subsidized rates from a Public Distribution System (PDS) Shop will now be optional.

Along with the implementation of Delhi doorstep delivery of ration scheme, the central govt’s “One Nation One Ration Card” scheme will also come into effect in Delhi.

The new Mukhyamantri Ghar Ghar Ration Yojana 2020 is a revolutionary step taken by the Kejriwal-led Delhi state government. People will no longer have to visit the PDS shops to get ration. This scheme will ensure dignity of poor by ceasing the inconvenience faced by them and packets of rice, flour and sugar to be delivered at home. In the state, each person who is having Delhi ration card and are entitled to get ration at subsidized rates from PDS shops can avail ration at their doorstep. The state govt. has started Doorstep Delivery of Ration Scheme for such RC holders for home delivery of their ration.

Previously, the state govt. of Delhi had launched Doorstep Delivery of Services Scheme and now, govt. has started Door-step delivery of ration scheme. This Mukhyamantri Ghar Ghar Ration Yojana will be a major step towards effective and efficient governance in which people will receive ration at their home. People will not have to come to PDS shops and stand in long queues to avail subsidized ration.

CM Arvind Kejriwal mentioned that wheat would be taken from FCI warehouse for grinding and then its packaging would be done. Other essential items like rice, sugar would also be packed. After packaging process of ration is complete, a facilitator will deliver ration at the home of eligible people.

In Delhi, people will get an option to either take benefit of Mukhya Mantri Ghar Ghar Ration Yojana to get ration delivered at their doorstep or can go to PDS shops to avail ration. Only those who choose the option of “Ration Ki Home Delivery” will get it delivered at their home. This scheme will roll out as soon as the tendering process and other pre-requisites are complete.

Delhi govt. ensures that this scheme is to deliver ration at doorstep of people. In this scheme, all those people who are eligible to take ration from PDS shops can place order for doorstep delivery. Each eligible beneficiary will now get a toll free number, people can place a call at this phone number and place their order. After placing the ration order, a facilitator will come at the doorstep to provide ration. It is for the first time that home delivery of ration scheme is launched by any state in India. The main objective is to put an end to corruption, to tighten nuckle on ration mafia and to ensure that right persons gets subsidized ration.

The implementation of Home Delivery of Ration Scheme in Delhi will start in the next 6 to 7 months. This scheme will ensure that poor people gets life of dignity and honour. CM Kejriwal mentioned that the subsidized ration delivery at home will start in the current 2020-21 financial year itself. There is no specific deadline but it is clear that before March 2021, govt. will start implementing this CM Doorstep Delivery of Ration Scheme in Delhi.

CM Arvind Kejriwal has announced the launch of Mukhya Mantri Ghar Ghar Ration Yojana on 21 July 2020. CM mentioned that he is feeling excited for the launch of this flagship home delivery of ration scheme in Delhi. He said “Before coming to politics, he and Manish Sisodia were running NGO named “Parivartan”. This organization was working in slums to make people aware of their rights and ensure that each eligible person is entitled to his quota of ration.” In those days, grain robbery was a common phenomenon and poor people were deprived of their ration. In the govt. records, officials make false entry for ration distribution and were indulged in corruption. Through this revolutionary step of Doorstep Delivery of Ration Scheme, CM wants to address this issue of false distribution of ration to bogus beneficiaries.

Currently, people have to stand in queues at PDS shops to avail subsidized ration from government outlets. Now Delhi govt. has started this Mukhyamantri Ghar Ghar Ration Yojana to ensure doorstep delivery of ration. In this scheme, all those people who are eligible to take ration from PDS shops can now choose an option to get their ration delivered at their home. Delhi government will make arrangements for Ration ki Home Delivery.

It is completely optional for beneficiaries to either take ration from PDS shops or get it home delivered. If you want to take ration from PDS shop located nearby you just like you are receiving ration till date, then you are free to do so. Only those people who choose the option of Doorstep Delivery of Ration & place order at the toll free number would get it home delivered.

The toll free number has not yet been announced by the CM Arvind Kejriwal. The scheme is expected to roll-out completely in the next 6 to 7 months. Within this duration, the toll free number would be released where you would be able to place an order for home delivery of ration.

People will get ground flour in the doorstep delivery of ration scheme in Delhi. The state govt. will take wheat from FCI warehouse, take it for grinding, pack it and then deliver packaged ground flour to people. Similarly, sugar and rice would be delivered at home in packaged form. All those people who want to take wheat, then go to the PDS shop.

No, it is not the case. CM mentioned that the Mukhya Mantri Ghar Ghar Ration Yojana has just got cabinet nod. The scheme will start before March 2021.

With the same day of implementation of Mukhya Mantri Ghar Ghar Ration Yojana in Delhi, One Nation One Ration Card would be launched in Delhi. In that scheme, a single ration card would be applicable in the entire country. Moreover, the ration cards of other states would also be applicable in Delhi.

It is a major advancement to start delivery of ration at people home in the upcoming days. This scheme will ensure that no poor person is deprived of getting their share of ration through either PDS shops or doorstep delivery of ration scheme.
