HOUSING PROJECTS UNDER PMAY
NO. 130. SHRIMATI SUMALATHA AMBAREESH:
Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has any data regarding the number of housing projects undertaken under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) for the State of Karnataka and if so, the details thereof, district-wise;
(b) whether the Government has any data regarding the number of beneficiaries under PMAY in the Mandya Lok Sabha Constituency and if so, the details thereof;

(d) if so, the details thereof?

STATEMENT REFERRED TO IN THE LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. 130*DUE FOR ANSWER ON15.12.2022 REGARDING “HOUSING PROJECTS UNDER PMAY”
(a) Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, under the vision of ‘Housing for All’, supplements the efforts of States/ Union Territories (UTs) including the State of Karnataka by providing Central Assistance under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U), for construction of houses for all eligible families/ beneficiaries in urban areas since 25.06.2015. The scheme has four verticals namely, Beneficiary-led individual house construction/ enhancement (BLC), Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP), “In-situ” Slum Redevelopment (ISSR) and Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS). District-wise details of housing projects sanctioned under PMAY-U for the State of Karnataka are given at Annexure-I.
(b): Physical and financial progress in Mandya Lok Sabha Constituency under PMAY-U is given at Annexure-II.
(c) & (d): The mission period of PMAY-U was up to 31.03.2022 which has  since  been  extended  upto  31.12.2024  for  completion  of  all 122.69 lakh houses sanctioned till 31.03.2022 without changing funding pattern and implementation methodology of the scheme. Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme vertical has not been extended beyond 31.03.2022.
During the extended period, no additional houses will be sanctioned. However, within an overall ceiling of 122.69 lakh houses sanctioned till 31.03.2022, States/UTs may be sanctioned houses under BLC vertical against curtailment of non-starter houses under BLC, AHP and ISSR verticals of PMAY-U.
No proposal received from State till 31.03.2022 for sanction of houses under PMAY-U, in respect of Mandya Lok Sabha Constituency is pending in the Ministry.
