PRADHAN MANTRI SHRAM YOGI MAAN-DHAN YOJANA

99. SHRI KESINENI SRINIVAS:

Will the Minister of LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT be pleased to state:

(a) the statistical information of the subscribers of the PM Shram Yogi Maan-dhan Yojana (PM SYM), State-wise;

(b) whether the Government is aware that only 1 per cent of the estimated size of the unorganized workforce has subscribed to the PM SYM Yojana and if so, the reasons for such low subscription;

(c) whether additional measures have been undertaken by the Ministry to achieve the target of 10 crore subscriptions if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor;

(d) the details of calculations made to arrive at the pension amount of Rs.3000; and

(e) whether provisions for revision of pension amount have been included, considering the first pension payment will be made not before the year 2038 and if so, the details thereof?

(a) : The State/UT-wise details of beneficiaries enrolled under Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-dhan (PM-SYM) pension scheme are at Annexure.

(b) : PM-SYM is a voluntary scheme. Moreover, the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic, adversely affected lives of unorganised workers resulting in low fresh enrolments under PM-SYM scheme during this period.
