WIFI FACILITY
5557. SHRI VIVEK NARAYAN SHEJWALKAR:
Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state:
(a) the number of railway stations provided WiFi facility so far in the country; and
(b) the target set to connect all the Railway stations in the country with the WiFi facility?

(a) WiFi facility has been provided at 6100 stations.
(b) All feasible non-halt stations have been provided with Wi-Fi services.
Provision of Wi-Fi facility at stations is dependent upon the availability of Optical Fibre Cable and other resources which are being arranged in progressive manner. Hence, no specific target has been envisaged.
