PM MITRA PARKS SCHEME

Will the Minister of TEXTILES वस्त्र मंत्री be pleased to state 

(a) whether the Government has finalised the sites for the PM Mitra parks scheme;

(b) if so, the details thereof and if not, the details of the applications received and the timeline for the decision;

(c) the details of the parameters upon which the sites will be chosen;

(d) the funds allocated and utilised for the scheme till now; and

(e) the details of the benefits these parks will bring to the country and States in terms of employment, revenue generation, quality enhancement, resources, etc?

(a) & (b): The Government has approved setting up of 7 (Seven) PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks in Greenfield/Brownfield sites to develop world class infrastructure including plug and play facility with an outlay of Rs.4445 Crore for a period of seven years upto 2027-28. All State Governments were requested to send proposal alongwith Preliminary Project Report to the Ministry for consideration. The last date for submission of proposals was 15th March 2022.

A total of 17 Preliminary Project Proposals have been received from State Governments. The proposals are under scrutiny for consideration by Project Approval Committee. The details of the proposals received in the Ministry are as under: –
