NATIONAL PENSION SCHEME FOR KENDRIYA VIDYALAYAS

Will the Minister of EDUCATION be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Ministry of Finance OM dated 26.08.2021 regarding enhancement of employers share of National Pension System (NPS) to 14 per cent from 10 per cent has been adopted in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS);

(b) if so, whether the arrears for the period from 01.04.2019 to the date of implementation of this order in KVS have been credited to the NPS accounts of beneficiaries;

(c) if so, the details thereof in Delhi Region, school-wise;

(d) whether the said arrears for employees working in Kendriya Vidyalayas under Regional Office, Delhi have not been credited to the NPS accounts of respective employees;

(e) if so, the reasons therefor; and

(f) the steps taken/being taken by the Government in this regard?

ANSWER

(a) to (f) Yes, Sir. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has informed that Ministry of Finance OM dated 26.08.2021 regarding enhancement of employers share of NPS from 10% to 14% has been adopted in KVS and arrears with effect from 01.04.2019 have been credited in case of all employees working under KVS including Delhi region. The details of NPS arrears credited in the accounts of NPS subscribers of Kendriya Vidyalayas under Delhi Region are annexed.
