RECRUITMENT OF PATRIOT YOUTH IN PARA-MILITARY FORCES
Will the Minister of HOME AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government proposes any scheme for recruiting patriotic youth living in border areas in para-military forces;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government proposes any scheme for such recruitment drive every year;
(d) if so, the details thereof; and
(e) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (b): As per the existing scheme of examination for recruitment to the post of Constable (General Duty-GD) conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), 20% of the vacancies in Border Guarding Forces namely, Border Security Force (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Assam Rifles (AR) are allotted to notified border districts, falling within the area of responsibility of the concerned border guarding force.
(c) to (e): It has been decided to conduct recruitment of Constable (GD) through SSC on yearly basis.
