Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state:
(a) the number of vacancies filled by the Railway recruitment Board during the last three years and the year/group -wise details of the recruitment made;
(b) the total number of posts lying vacant in the Railways and the time by when the process to fill these posts is proposed to be started, as not doing so would lead to unemployment and feeling of dissatification among the youth;
(c) whether the Railways, which is often said to be the backbone of economy, provides maximum employment to youth; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and the steps being taken to resume the recruitment by Railway Recruitment Board?

(a) : The year/ group-wise details of number of persons empanelled/ recruited and recruitment made through Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) during the last three years are as under:

(a) to (d): Occurrence and filling up of vacancies is a continuous process and the same is filled by placement of indents by Railways with recruitment agencies as per operational requirements. During the process, vacancies may arise and these are filled subsequently.
Recruitment process against 1,40,713 personnel against 03 Centralized Employment Notifications (CENs) is at examination stage.
The process of examination has got impacted due to COVID-19 related restrictions and resultant lockdowns imposed by various states. Once the things got normalized after ebbing of first wave of COVID-19 in the country, RRBs have started recruitment process for notified vacancies from 15.12.2020 in phases.
A Notice for declaring result of first stage of Computer Based Test (CBT) and schedule of second stage CBT under CEN No. 01/2019 has been uploaded on official websites of RRBs on 05.12.2021.
Under CEN No. RRC 01/2019, a notice dated 05.12.2021 has also been uploaded on official websites of RRBs for providing Modification Link to those candidates whose applications have been rejected on the ground of invalid photograph and/or signature from 15.12.2021.
