Eligibility for UGAT-2021
- An applicant who has passed or appeared in any stream of the Intermediate Examination conducted by the U.P. Board/C.B.S.E./I.C.S.E. or an examination by any State Board. The equivalence as defined in University Ordinances-2008 or by UGC Regulations as decided from time to time thereto is eligible to apply for the Undergraduate Admission Tests (UGAT).
- An applicant who has passed or appeard at the above mentioned examination with Art group, Science group or Commerce group is eligible to apply for Under-Graduate Test for B.A.
- An applicant who has passed or appeared at the above examination with Science Group (Maths groups) is eligible to apply for the Undergraduate Admission Test for B.Sc. (Maths group) and with the Science Group (Bio Group) is eligble to apply for the Undergraduate Test for B.Sc. (Bio group).
- The candidate who has passed or appeared in the above examination with Commerce stream or Science stream will be eligible for admission to B.Com.
- For BA (Music)/B.P.A application forms of only those candidates would be considered who have Music as one of the subjects at Intermediate level or they have passed an equivalent examination in Music from a recognized Institution.
- Only such female applicants are eligible to apply for the Undergraduate Admission Test for B.Sc. (Family and Community Science) (Home Science), who have passed or appeared at the Intermediate Examination conducted by the U.P. Board/C.B.S.E./I.C.S.E. or an examination equivalent either with
- Science Group, or
- With any other Group having Home Science as one of the subject after having passed the High School (or equivalent) examination with Science Group.
- For B.A. (Urdu) application forms of only those candidates would be considered who have Urdu as one of the subjects at Intermediate level or they have passed an equivalent examination in Urdu from a recognized Institution.
- For B.A. (Geography) application forms of only those candidates would be considered who have Geography as one of the subjects or have science at Intermediate level or they have passed an equivalent examination in from a recognized Institution.

IMPORTANT NOTE
- The applicant must take due care while filling up the form (online). The applicant must ensure that all the information provided by him/her and filled in form are correct. The information provided by the applicant in his/her form shall not be changed or altered in any case and the University will not entertain such requests under any circumstance. The University shall not be liable for any mistake made by the applicant.
- In case if the number of registered candidates at any of the examination centres is less than 100 (One Hundred), then in such case the registered candidates will be allotted the nearest centre.
- There is no provision of revaluation/scrutiny of answer sheet/booklet.
- In case of any discrepancy in the Hindi version, the English version of the brochure will be treated as the correct version.
- Only such RTI applications shall be entertained which are received within 60 days from the declaration of final result.
- Each candidate will also have to mention his / her Sub-Category alongwith his / her overall category i.e. UR, SC, ST, OBC and EWS.
- To give the benefit to students who have passed the qualifying examination in the current year 2020-21, a deduction of 5% of the marks secured in the entrance test would be made for every gap year from the obtained marks. The maximum deduction would be 15%.
- Every candidate will have to declare any disciplinary action/police action against him/her.
- The Registration Fees for Unreserved, EWS and OBC Category is Rs. 800/- and SC/ST/PH is Rs. 400/-.
- There is no negative marking.
- Every candidate can view his/her Answer Sheet within one month of declaration of Results by paying a token amount Rs. 100/- at Pravesh Bhawan.
- The entrance test will be conducted in various centres of Prayagraj, Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Bareilly, Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh and Patna, Bhopal, New Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur and Thiruvanthpuram.
