Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) the State-wise/UT-wise/year-wise data of Individual Household Toilets (IHHLs) and Community/Public Toilets (CT/PT) approved, completed and in-progress;
(b) the total cess collected and expenditure incurred by the Ministry under SBM-U, year- wise;
(c) the State-wise/UT-wise targets of IHHL and CT/PT construction and Solid Waste Management (SWM) under SBM 2.0;
(d) the State-wise/UT-wise central assistance under SBM 2.0.
(e) the State-wise/UT-wise number of formal and informal sanitation workers and waste pickers;
(f) if no such data exists, the reasons therefor;
(g) whether Government plans to create a database of these workers; and
(h) if so, the details and timeline thereof and if not reasons therefor ?

(a) State-wise/UT-wise data of Individual Household Toilets (IHHLs) and Community/Public Toilets (CTs/PTs) approved, completed and in-progress since inception of the Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban is at annexure.
(b) Cess under SBM (U) is not collected by this Ministry. In this regard, nil information has been received from Department of Revenue.
(c) & (d): SBM 2.0 has not been approved so far.
(e) to (h): Since, sanitation is a State subject, no such data is being maintained by this Ministry. However, Government of India under SBM (U) provides Central Assistance to create sanitation infrastructure for construction of IHHL, CT/PT/urinals and solid waste management facilities which in turn improve the working condition of sanitation workers including waste pickers.
