New Delhi, the 7th July, 2021
G.S.R. 477(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 48 of the Life Insurance Corporation Act, 1956 (31 of 1956), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Life Insurance Corporation of India Class III and Class IV employees (Promotion) Rules, 1987, namely:—
1. Short title and commencement.—(1) These rules may be called the Life Insurance Corporation of India Class III and Class IV employees (Promotion) Amendment Rules, 2021.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette
2. In the Life Insurance Corporation of India Class III and Class IV employees (Promotion) Rules, 1987,—
(i) in rule 5, in sub-rule (2), for the word “Chairman”, the word “Chief Executive” shall be substituted;
(ii) in rule 6,—
(a) in sub-rule (2), in the proviso, for the word “Chairman”, the word “Chief Executive” shall be substituted;
(b) in sub-rule (4) for the word “Chairman”, the word “Chief Executive” shall be substituted;
(iii) in rule 7, in sub-rule (1), for the word “Chairman”, the word “Chief Executive” shall be substituted;
(iv) in rule 8, for the word “Chairman”, the word “Chief Executive” shall be substituted;
(v) in rule 10, in sub-rule (1) for the word “Chairman”, the word “Chief Executive” shall be substituted;
(vi) in the Schedule, against Sl. No.1, under the heading “Conditions of eligibility”, for the word “Chairman”, the word “Chief Executive” shall be substituted
