Will the Minister of PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government proposes to promote the use of CNG/PNG in order to control pollution in Bihar and if so, the names of the districts in Bihar provided with such facility of CNG/PNG till date including the names of districts proposed to be provided with CNG/PNG facility;
(b) whether the Government proposes to open CNG/ PNG facility/centre in the Gopalganj district of Bihar and if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and
(c) whether there is any CNG/PNG project launched or proposed to be launched for Gopalganj district of Bihar including any prospective project to be implemented in adjacent districts, if so, the details thereof?

(a) Yes. Government proposes to promote the use of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)/Piped Natural Gas (PNG) in Bihar. Following GAs/ Districts have been covered under City Gas Distribution (CGD) network in the state of Bihar:
