Uttar Pradesh government has started a new UP Supply Mitra Portal, Annapurna Portal for citizens at supplymitra-up.com. At this portal, people can get information of nearby kirana and ration items distribution centres for home delivery at Supply Mitra portal. People can even get information of cooked food distribution centres as well as food items vitaran kendras at Annapurna Portal. In case anyone wants to include their name in list of stores for home delivery of food, ration items to people during Coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown can apply online.

Along with home delivery of food items, people can also apply for inclusion of their name in the list of suppliers of cooked food. The main objective of launching UP Supply Mitra Portal by CM Yogi Adityanath is to ensure that no person in the state remains hungry. Earlier, the state govt. has also started providing Lockdown E-Passes to people.
For delivery of essential food items either in the form of ration or cooked food, this is a noble initiative. One more initiative named as Annapurna Portal has also been launched in order to ensure proper food supply to people in the hour of need.

Who Developed Supply Mitra / Annapurna Portal
The UP Supply Mitra portal has been developed by the IT wing of commercial tax department (COMTAX). The dept. has created 2 Facebook pages where one is dedicated to kirana stores called Supply Mitra and the other for community kitchens called Annapurna. Lot of food is available in UP but govt. is now ensuring that people have information about it. There are 9,451 listings under ration shops and 1,218 under community kitchens and NGOs. However, this was a dynamic list and names would be added or deleted over the days.
The state govt. of Uttar Pradesh is inviting people to list on this website. However, in case we see that someone is unable to continue home supply, we will remove their names. Field officers of the department have been collecting details of shops carrying out home delivery while district administration supplied names of community kitchens.
