Decisions by Board of Directors of Chandigarh Housing Board

Dated 19.03.2020

Main decisions by Board of Directors of Chandigarh Housing Board

The Board in its 420th meeting held on 19.03.2020, after detailed deliberations, has taken following decisions:

1. The proposed  General Self Financing  Housing Scheme in Sector-53, Chandigarh needs to be made more lucrative. To reduce the land cost component, the matter may be taken up with the UT Administration to increase the Floor Area Ratio (FAR) so that more flats can be constructed. Further the possibility of some changes in the specifications and design also to be explored.

Considering that framing a new scheme with lesser cost and further possible changes may take considerable time, the Board decided to refund the amount deposited by the applicant of the Demand Survey and desired that the revised scheme may be brought before it in due course.

2. The ten appeals preferred before the Board, against cancellation of allotments on account of violations may be deferred to next meeting for providing opportunity of hearing to the appellants.

3. The applicants need not to pay the applicable charges at the time of making application for Need Based Changes. Such applications may be filed with processing charges of Rs. 500/- (Non- Refundable) and if the application is found in order, the approval to be granted subject to payment of applicable charges within a specified period.

4. In   accordance   with   the   Rights    of    Persons    with    Disabilities Act 2016, the Chandigarh Housing Board (Allotment, Management and Sale of Tenements) Regulations, 1979 to be amended for providing 5% reservations in favour of persons with benchmark disability instead of the existing provision of 3% reservations.
