Naya Savera Yojana

1509. SMT. JEBI MATHER HISHAM:

Will the Minister of MINORITY AFFAIRS be pleased to state:

(a) the number of coaching institutes funded under Naya Savera Yojana since the launch of the scheme, State-wise/UT-wise details thereof;

(b) the total number of students enrolled in Naya Savera Yojana since the launch of the scheme,

State-wise/UT-wise details; and

(c) details of the performance (in terms of rankings) achieved in UPSC, JEE and NEET exams by students who have availed benefits of the Naya Savera Yojana scheme during the last five years, State-wise/UT-wise details thereof?

(a) The Ministry of Minority Affairs implemented Naya Savera scheme through Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs). Details of PIAs under the scheme is attached at Annexure-I.

(b) Since inception, 1,19,223 minority students/candidates have been benefitted under Naya Savera Scheme. State-wise number of students/candidates benefitted under the Scheme is at Annexure – II.

(c) State-wise details of performance of beneficiaries in various exams under Naya Savera Scheme is not maintained, however, scheme prescribes minimum success rate of 20% in case of technical/professional courses, 15% for Group B and Group C courses and 30% in case of residential coaching programme to avail the grants under the Scheme.
