Supplementary Examination Online submission of forms by Private Candidates of Classes X & XII, 2023

(Private students have to submit the examination form (List of Candidates) on the web personally within schedule)

(A) Compartment (1st chance)

(B) Compartment (3rd chance)

(C) Improvement of Performance in upto 02 subjects in class X (subject to the condition of valid combination of subjects as per date sheet) and 01 subject in class XII (Only for private candidates passed in 2023 Main exams and in the subjects whose list is enclosed in Annexure-5)

(D) Regular students of 2023 placed in Compartment category (1st chance) can apply only through their respective schools. Their school has to submit online LOC (List of Candidates). A separate circular for Regular candidates has also been issued and available at the web-link https://www.cbse.gov.in/cbsenew/cbse .html

In the light of the recommendations made in NEP-2020, nomenclature of the Compartment examinations has been changed to Supplementary examinations vide Notification no. CBSE/COORD/EC-Dec-2022/ITEM-3.08/2023/e-71926 dated 10 March 2023.

As the Board has declared the results of both class X & class XII, the process for submission of LOG for Supplementary Examination for Class X and Class XII, for session 2022-23 shall start w.e.f. 01.06.2023 (Thursday).The submission of applications for appearing in Supplementary Examination 2023 is to be done through the link given on CBSE Website cbse.nic.in/newsite/index.html.

Only those private students who submit the online application form alongwith the prescribed fees shall be allowed to appear for Supplementary Examinations, 2023. The following important information may be read and understood carefully:-

• (a) Students who have appeared for the Board’s Examinations as regular students in the session 2021-22 or as private students in the session 2022- 23 and whose result has been declared as ‘Compartment’ should apply through online mode.
• (b) No request for an extension of the date due to any reason or accepting any candidature after last date is over will be considered.

(2) The private students shall submit application forms for Supplementary Examinations-2023 as per the conditions of eligibility given in Annexure-I.

(4) Consolidated mark sheet will be issued only to the students whose result was declared COMPARTMENT in Board’s Examinations 2023 and who will be declared as Pass in Supplementary Examinations 2023 .

(5) The Supplementary Examinations-2023 will be conducted based on the Syllabus prescribed for the Board examinations for session 2022-23, which is available    on    the    CBSE    website    at    the     link https://cbseacademi c.nic.in/curriculum  2023.html.

(6) The Improvement of Performance in upto 02 subjects in class X (subject to the condition of valid combination of subjects as per date sheet) and 01subject in class XII (Only for private candidates passed in 2023 Main exams and in the subjects whose list is enclosed in Annexure-5). Candidates of Class X wishes to appear for improvement will opt their subjects only as per date sheet.

(7) The application forms may be filled as per the current status of the result of the candidates.

(8) The schedule of Supplementary Examinations :-

• (a) Supplementary Examination for class XII will be held on 17th July 2023(Monday).
• (b) Supplementary Examination for class X will be conducted from 171h July 2023 (Monday) to 22nd July, 2023 (Saturday). For details, please check date-sheet available on website .

(9) The dates for download of Admit Cards will be informed separately. In case of any discrepancy in the Admit card, the candidates should contact the concerned Regional Office of the Board immediately.
