SCHOLARSHIPS FOR HIGHER EDUCATION

Will the Minister of EDUCATION be pleased to state:
(a) the details of the scholarships provided by the Government for higher education in national and foreign institutes;
(b) the number of applications received for each scholarship and the number of students provided with scholarships for higher education in national and foreign institutions during the last five years, State-wise; and
(c) the number of applications received and applicants selected for such scholarships during the last year from Jharkhand, district-wise?

(a) The Ministry of Education, Government of India and its autonomous bodies namely University Grants Commission (UGC) and All India Council Technical Education (AICTE) are implementing different scholarship schemes for higher education to the students studying in various institutes within India. The details of these schemes including the number of slots, assistance offered and eligibility criteria are available in the following websites:
