REVISION OF CGHS CHARGES IN EMPANELLED HOSPITALS

Will the Minister of HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government has constituted a Committee to revise the rates including OPD for empanelled private hospitals under Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS);

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) the other steps being taken by the Government for improving the working of the CGHS?

Revision of CGHS Charges in Empanelled Hospitals
(a) to (c) Government has constituted 8 Members Technical Committee for revision of CGHS package rates under the Chairpersonship of Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, looking after CGHS affairs.

The Government has taken following measures to improve CGHS facilities:

i. Revised guidelines have been issued for streamlining the functioning of the Local Advisory Committees at CGHS Wellness Centre, and Constitution of Advisory Committees at the level of Additional Director, CGHS for interaction with CGHS beneficiaries and to redress grievances.

ii. CGHS Panchayats are held by Additional Directors, CGHS to reach out to CGHS beneficiaries and other stake holders like Health Care Organizations (HCOs) etc.

iii. Provision of tele-consultation through e-Sanjeevani portal (esanjeevaniopd.in). In 2022, the number of consultations availed in different specialties is as under:

iv. Fortnightly Webinars  for  health  Education  for  the  CGHS  beneficiaries is started since 28th October 2020. 25% of the topics are on AYUSH stream of Medicines. SMS messages are sent to CGHS beneficiaries on the Mobile phone number registered with CGHS to join the upcoming webinar. The recorded videos as well as text of the webinars may be viewed at the link https://cghs.gov.in/CghsGovIn/faces/ViewPage.xhtml. The webinars were conducted on the following topics:

v. Procurement of quality generic medicines, which are not readily available at Wellness Centres through Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana to strengthen the availability of medicines under CGHS.

vi. Direct Consultation from Specialists at empanelled hospitals in respect of elderly CGHS beneficiaries aged 75 years and above.

vii. Online settlement of Hospital bills pertaining to the treatment of Pensioner CGHS beneficiaries in a paperless mode through NHA-IT Platform.

viii. One time permission for Post-operative treatment in respect of critically ill patients.

ix. 12 new Homeopathic units and 6 Ayurvedic Units have been opened at following cities:
