Jan Aushadhi Kendras in Scheduled Caste Areas

Will the Minister of CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS be pleased to state:

(a) whether Jan Aushadhi stores have been set up in the backward and Scheduled Caste dominated areas in the country;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether it includes the scheduled parliamentary constituency of Misrikh in UP; and

(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b): Under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) implemented by the Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices Bureau of India (PMBI), a society under the aegis of the Department of Pharmaceuticals, till 31.01.2023 about 9,082 Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi kendras (PMBJKs) have been opened in the country. Out of which, about 740 PMBJKs have been opened in 122 districts that are categorized as aspirational districts by the NITI Aayog.

(c) & (d): There are three districts in Misrikh Parliamentary constituency in the state of Uttar Pradesh, viz., Sitapur, Hardoi and Kanpur Nagar. In total, 59 PMBJKs have been opened in these three districts as on 31.01.2023, as under:
