The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) congratulates the winners of National Awards for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities for the year 2022. The list of awardees is placed at Annexure I.
2. The awards are proposed to be conferred on 3rd December, 2022. A rehearsal of the function will be held on 2nd December, 2022. All the awardees are requested to plan their journey so as to reach Delhi not earlier than afternoon of 30th November, 2022 and later than the evening of 1st December, 2022. On 4th December, 2022 the Department organizes Sight Seeing – Delhi Darshan for the National Awardees. Accordingly the Awardees may leave Delhi on 5th December, 2022. The arrangements for local stay and local transport are made by the Department.

3. To and fro railway journey fare of AC II tier (i.e. AC Second Class) shall be reimbursed to awardees on production of original tickets/receipts. In case of air-travel, air tickets shall be of economy class and purchased from the three authorized Travel Agents viz.
  • a) M/s BalmerLawrie& Company
  • b) M/s Ashok Travels & Tours
  • c) Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd.
The reimbursement will be on production of Air ticket alongwith submission of to & fro boarding passes.
4. In case of the National Awardee being a person with disability, one escort is also entitled for reimbursement of travelling expenses of the same mode of travel as well as boarding& lodging facilities for him/her.
5. The awardees from Government Department/State Governments/PSU are requested to make their own stay arrangements and claim their TA/DA from their respective organizations/authorities. Only one representative of the Awardee representing Organization/the Government Department will receive the National Award. Name of the proposed recipient be intimated immediately.
6. The details of information (as per the format at Annexure II) may be furnished latest by 17.11.2022 by speed post to the undersigned at D/o Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), National Award Cell, Room No. 512, 5th Floor, B- II Wing, Pt. Deendayal Antyodaya Bhawan, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi – 110003 and a copy of the same may be sent on the e-mail: [email protected]
