Bilaspur Smart City Project in Chhattisgarh during the last three years

Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) the current status of ‘Smart City Project’ across the country;
(b) the details of the funds allocated and spent so far for the Bilaspur Smart City Project in Chhattisgarh during the last three years;
(c) whether there is any mechanism put in place by the Government to monitor the works of Smart City Project and review the progress thereof; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (d) : Government of India launched the Smart Cities Mission (SCM) on 25 June 2015. 100 Smart cities have been selected for development as Smart Cities through 4 rounds of competition from January 2016 to June 2018. As on 8 July 2022, the 100 Smart Cities have tendered out 7,822 projects worth Rs. 1,90,660 crore; work orders have been issued in 7,649 projects worth Rs. 1,80,996 crore; 4,085 projects worth Rs. 66,912 crore have been completed.
As on 8 July 2022, Rs. 127 crore has been released for Bilaspur Smart City in State of Chhattisgarh, out of which the Bilaspur Smart City has already utilized Rs. 122.37 crore. Year-wise status of funds released and utilization thereof is given below:
