HOUSES TO SCS/STS UNDER PMAY-G
4342. SHRI ANUBHAV MOHANTY:
Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:
(a) the total number of houses provided to the Scheduled Castes (SCs)/Scheduled Tribes (STs) under Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) during each of the last five years and the current year, Statewise;
(b) the total number of houses allotted to the SCs/STs during the said period, State-wise; and
(c) the name of the States where houses under this yojana have been earmarked to be allotted in the coming years ending 31 December, 2024 including Odisha?

(a) & (b) The State-wise as well as total numbers of houses sanctioned for the members of the Scheduled Castes (SCs) & Scheduled Tribes (STs) under Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana- Gramin (PMAY-G) during each of the last five years i.e. from 2016-17 to 2020-21 and the current year i.e. 2021-22 (as on 23.03.2022) along with the total is given at Annexure.
(c) Out of the overall target to construct 2.95 crore houses, a target of 2.60 crore (approx.) houses (including a target of 26,95,837 houses to Odisha) has already been allocated to the States/UTs from the financial year 2016-17 till 2021-22. The targets under PMAY-G are set annually on the basis of availability of eligible beneficiaries, achievements of targets allocated during the preceding years and proposal of the State/UT. The timeline for completion of PMAY-G has been fixed as March 2024.
