Will the PRIME MINISTER be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has issued any guidelines to restrict booking of Air tickets by Central Government employees for LTC purpose by three Government owned firms viz. Balmer Lawrie, Ashoka Travels and IRCTC only;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor;
(c) whether the Government has not authorized the official website of airlines companies to purchase air tickets for LTC purpose and if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor;
(d) whether keeping in view of ease of access and strengthening digital India campaign, the Government proposes to authorize website of airline companies for purchase of air tickets for travel by Government employee on LTC; and
(e) if so, the details thereof and the time by which the notification is likely to be issued in this regard?

(a) to (e): In order to ensure the booking of tickets for Government employees at ‘Best Available Fare’ on Government account, the three travel agencies viz. M/s Balmer Lawrie & Company Limited (BLCL), M/s Ashok Travels & Tours (ATT) and Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd.(IRCTC) have been authorized vide O.M. No.19024/03/2021-E.IV dated 31.12.2021 and dated 16.02.2022, issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure.
Ticket price is so much high in these three sights as compare to airlines official site.soldier served in Port Blair high amount from there pocket because he can't book ticket from any other sites.so remove this policy .
