IMPLEMENTATION OF ATAL BIMIT VYAKTI KALYAN YOJANA

Will the Minister of Labour and Employment be pleased to state:
(a) whether Government has increased or is planning to increase the limit of sum assured to be payable to insured under Atal Bimit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) the number of persons benefitted under this scheme in the last two years in the State of Andhra Pradesh, the details thereof; and
(d) the achievements made in the scheme so far?

(a) & (b): Yes, Sir. The rate of relief under Atal Bimit Vyakti Kalyan Yojana (ABVKY), under which cash relief is provided to the unemployed Insured Person, has been enhanced from 25% of the average daily earning to 50% of the average daily earning w.e.f. 24.03.2020.
(c) In the state of Andhra Pradesh, a total of 8565 claims under the scheme were approved during the years 2019-20 and 2020-21.
(d) Till 09.07.2021, a total of 78775 claims were received since the inception of the scheme, out of which a total 55125 claims worth Rs 73.23 crore have been approved so far.
