SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR STUDENTS OF RURAL AREAS
Will the Minister of SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EMPOWERMENT be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Union Government has received proposals from the State Government of Bihar for any scholarship scheme to increase awareness towards education among primary to high school students of rural areas in the current year;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether any fund has been allocated by the Government to the States to provide scholarships in Government schools of rural areas to create awareness towards education; and
(d) if so. the details thereof?

(a) to (d): No Sir, no such proposal has been received from the State Government of Bihar. However, as per scheme guidelines all the State Governments and Union Territory Administrations are advised to publish the scheme and invite applications by issuing advertisement in local language, in the leading newspapers of the State and through their respective websites and other media outfits.
