CONSTRUCTION OF HOUSES UNDER PMAY

Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state:

(a) the total number of urban houses which were projected to be constructed in the country, particularly in Shirdi Parliamentary Constituency in Maharashtra under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY) during each of the last three years, location-wise;

(b) the number of houses which have been contructed as on date and the number of those which are under construction/getting delayed along with their locations, particularly in the Shirdi Parliamentary Constituency; and

(c) the reasons behind the delay in the construction of such houses and the time by which these houses are expected to be completed?

Statement referred to in reply to Lok Sabha Starred Question No. 429 to be answered on March 25, 2021 regarding CONSTRUCTION OF HOUSES UNDER PMAY

(a)&(b) Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) Mission, during the last three years, viz.,2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20, about 78 lakh houses had been sanctioned in the country. The sanctioned houses include about

9.85 lakh for the State of Maharashtra including 5,039 houses in the Shirdi Parliamentary Constituency. The location wise details of houses sanctioned during the last three years i.e. 2017-20 and the details of houses sanctioned, completed, under construction in Shirdi Parliamentary Constituency under PMAY-U are annexed as Annexure.

(c) The houses sanctioned under PMAY-U are targeted to be completed by the year 2022.
